1. Introduction

CO2Food is provided by DVJ Insights BV.

CO2Food processes data about you when you use our service and therefore you are provided with the information below.

 

2. Personal data controller

DVJ Insights BV, Herculesplein 52, 3584 AA Utrecht, The Netherlands, the personal data controller. This means that this company is responsible for the processing of your personal data.

Relevant staff at DVJ Insights have access to personal data about you at user level if it is necessary to develop, improve or correct our services or if it is necessary to respond to user requests from you.

 

3. Categories of personal data and purpose of collection

We process the following categories of data about you:

  • Personal data such as username, password, name, address, telephone number and e-mail address are collected for the purpose of identifying and contacting you in connection with the provision of the CO2Foods service,

  • Information used to create an overview of and compare your consumption/economy and related services, which you have given us access to. This includes data on your personal profile (housing type, family type, income range, region, education level, employment type, year of birth and gender),

  • Information on your financial consumption in the form of receipt data that you provide to third parties and consumption data (including receipts) that you add to your account yourself.

We also collect data on the use of CO2Food, including via cookies and the logging of metadata (device, geographical location, etc.). This data is used to analyse the use of our services

The data is collected in order to make our service available to you. The data is also collected for the purpose of processing and disclosing the data to third parties in anonymized or aggregated form, where you can never be identified, cf. section 6 below.

 

4. Basis for the collection and processing of personal data

By accepting our terms and conditions, you agree that DVJ Insights collects and processes your data. The basis for our collection and processing of your personal data is thus that you have given your consent to the collection and processing.

Our collection and processing of your personal data comply with the applicable legislation in force at any given time.

We store and process your personal data until you withdraw your consent.

 

5. Your rights

As a registered user, you have a number of rights.

With a few exceptions specified by law, you have the right to request access to the personal data we process about you, and you have the right to receive a copy of it. You can do this by contacting mail@co2food.dk.

You also have the right to object to our processing of your personal data, to request the rectification or erasure of your personal data that you consider inaccurate, outdated, etc. and you can request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.

As a data subject, you also have the right to data portability if specific conditions of data protection legislation are met. The right to data portability means that you have the right to receive the personal data we process about you in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format. If technically possible, you also have the right to have your personal data transferred directly to another controller.

You can withdraw your consent to our processing of your personal data at any time. The withdrawal of your consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing based on the consent before the withdrawal. Upon withdrawal, the processing of your personal data will cease and your personal data will be erased, unless there is a legitimate basis for continued storage, e.g. for documentation purposes. To the extent that your personal data is included in aggregated data in a non-personally identifiable form, we will continue to use the personal data in this non-personally identifiable form even after the withdrawal of your consent.

If you wish to complain about our processing of your personal data, you can contact the Data Protection Authority in your respective country. 

 

6. Transfer and disclosure of personal data

Personal data about you such as name, address, telephone number and e-mail address are not disclosed to third parties.

 

Other information about you is used in CO2Food and may be disclosed to third parties in anonymized or aggregated form, where you as a user can never be identified.

We reserve the right at all times to use or disclose personal data to the extent necessary to comply with applicable laws, conduct investigations in connection with complaints, respond to your requests or for investigative purposes. Your personal data may also, where appropriate, be disclosed to our external advisors who are subject to a duty of confidentiality.

We transfer your personal data to data processors in accordance with applicable data protection legislation, including to the extent necessary after entering into data processing agreements with our data processors to ensure that personal data is only processed for the specified purposes and under appropriate security measures.
